Little River Bend is a remote Canadian town which offers all the benefits of small town life, as well as the disadvantages.   Susan Barker is trying to rebuild her life after her husband's death while her neighbour, Michael Somers, attempts to exorcise the demons of an unhappy and violent past.
They are brought together by the plight of a magnificent falcon.   Whilst repairing its shattered wing, they rebuild their own shattered lives.
