Just in Case
by Meg Rosoff
Published by Puffin
When
his baby brother almost falls out of a window and dies, David Case realises
dramatically that life hangs in the balance, and that he is doomed.
He needs a new identity, and fast, to escape from what fate has in store for
him, which will almost certainly include disaster. Changing his name, and with
the help of his older girlfriend, Agnes, he creates both a new image and a new
look for himself; he desperately hopes that this will help him to take control
of his life and circumstances. Is the new Justin doomed as well, or will it turn
out that he is actually one very lucky guy?
This book is written very much with older teenagers in mind, and is both
thought-provoking and funny.
