Tull, known as Tully to his friends is orphaned at the age of 7 and
is sent to a children’s home in London. In the
children’s home
Tully discovers that he has a talent for football
and becomes the star player on the football team. The
colour of Tully’s skin doesn’t matter in the children’s home but in
professional football teams it does. Tully gets shouted
at because he is black. In 1914 Tully goes of to war and becomes the
first black officer in the British Army. This is a true
story.
