School Library Association - support for anyone involved in school libraries.   Publications give practical guidance on all aspects of school library work. SLAINTE - the web site of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals in Scotland

Support for school libraries - this includes information relating to ACE, information literacy, self evaluation and inspection

CILIP - the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals.   Information on how to become a Chartered Librarian.

Strongest Links - information and links relating to advocacy, information literacy and reading, created and maintained by Anne Robinson, who received the 2005 School Librarian of the Year Award. School libraries: making a difference - web site relating to the advocacy campaign for school libraries in England.   Much of the advice is good wherever you are.
